Software Engineer II

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Francisco, CA to ensure that systems continue to function normally through software maintenance. Requires a Master’s Degree in Information Systems or a related field or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience working on all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, planning, implementation, testing, maintenance, and documentation. Prior experience must include one (1) year of documenting all aspects of software platforms as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades; designing and implementing RESTful web services APIs and algorithms; producing design documentation in line with object-oriented patterns and API frameworks; performing code reviews; writing unit and integration tests using Junit and TestNG frameworks to ensure system quality; working with AWS managed services including EC2 and DynamoDB; working with both relational and NoSQL database technologies including MySQL, Apache Cassandra and Redis; working with search platform technologies including Apache Solr; and, following agile practices and participating in scrum activities.
