Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Diego, CA to design and implement interactive web-based services. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field or equivalent, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience providing component level designs for network platform. Prior experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience implementing end user and enterprise infrastructure and services including both SOAP and Rest for notification, intranet and third party communication, pricing, authentication and configuration hosted on PAAS and IAAS; preparing and executing unit and integration tests to strengthen larger test automation strategy; implementing cloud-based solutions using OpenShift; participating in network operational support activities including troubleshooting production outage, determining RCA and coordination between impacted applications; documenting business requirements; designing test and deploy applications in cloud environment; building tools for automating processes and application monitoring; performing code reviews for team; writing optimized and reactive (non-blocking) code and reviewing pull requests; executing calibration activities to meet the SLA requirements and better system utilizations; implementing reactive programming paradigm and Object Relational Mapping (ORM) mechanism; and in executing duties, utilizing ReactJS, OpenShift, J2EE, NoSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Jira, Java, XML/XSL/XSLT, JSON, Apache Tomcat, JAX-RS/JAX-B, Spring, agile development methodologies, Unix Shell Scripting, bug tracking systems and object-oriented analysis.
