Software Engineer - Front End

CTRL-labs is developing a non-invasive neural interface for the arm that allows developers to build revolutionary new experiences and applications in VR/AR, gaming, robotics, health, productivity and more. Our goal is to unleash human potential by erasing the bottlenecks between intent in the mind and action in the world. We’re starting with applications in VR/AR, gaming, robotics, health, productivity and more.

Our technology poses several unique challenges for how to package and make it accessible, both on the web and elsewhere. Doing so in a convenient, fun, appealing way is critical to our success.

We are seeking creative front end and full stack web developers to help us bring our technology to the world.

Responsibilities

• Work in a tight loop with engineers and scientists to expose our technology on the web
• Build tools and visualizations that help accelerate internal research and development
• Contribute to demos which show off our technology’s unique capabilities
• Build code samples that teach developers how to use CTRL-labs APIs
• Explore new applications of our technology on the web and elsewhere

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years in front end or full stack web development
• React/Redux/TypeScript expertise
• Experience building single page applications
• Experience with Node/NPM/Yarn/Webpack

Bonus points

• Knowledge or AWS or equivalent services
• Interaction/visual design experience
• 3D and/or XR development experience (threejs, Unity, etc.)
• Data visualization experience (D3, matplotlib, etc.)
• SDK development experience
