Software Engineer, Events

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to build the infrastructure that powers live events across our passionate community. From intimate gatherings to massive concerts thrilling thousands, you’ll empower players to host, attend, and perform in amazing online events. Become a central piece of an exciting new Events Team and help us build the vision for events players will remember for years to come.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Work collaboratively and iteratively to help our creators and partners host engaging events that entertain, delight and educate our community
• Design, build, and maintain powerful online event creation tools, event mechanics, and streaming audio video solutions
• Use metrics to track feature performance and inform design decisions

WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• 3+ years experience with Game Development and Game Engines (preferably Unity)
• Experience shipping multiplayer games or online meeting tools
• Passion for game design, specifically game feel and high-quality player feedback
• Excellent cross-discipline communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous, and ambiguous environment
• A constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience designing for multiple platforms (mobile, console, VR)
• Background in Augmented or Virtual Reality technologies (e.g., HTC Vive, Steam VR, Oculus Rift, etc.)
• Experience working on a live online service
• Experience writing production distributed systems or cloud services
• Audio engineering experience
• Strong 3d math skills
