The Developer Tech team at Blizzard is built to empower and optimize the process of game development. We're seeking a Build and Development Pipeline Engineer that will partner directly with the Unannounced Survival Game team to manage their CI/CD systems, maintain and develop workflow tools, and improve the overall efficiency of the developers. You partner with internal teams to help deliver a world class development environment and provide a platform for our future.
We're looking for an engineer with a passion for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous improvement. As part of this role you will work with other experienced engineers to smooth and enhance the every day workflow of your fellow developers. Our ideal candidate has worked on build and release pipelines at the enterprise scale and finds joy in supporting other developers and building scalable pipelines.

What you'll do
- Create pipelines and workflow tools
- Support and empathize with engineers from across the development team
- Collaborate with other developers in identifying high value improvement opportunities
- Participate in code reviews and architecture planning
- Run development infrastructure, including physical and virtual machines
- Supervise and maintain automation systems
- Respond to development team outages and requests
To succeed, you must have
- Programming language experience (eg. C#, Go)
- Automation server administrative experience (eg. Jenkins)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with developers of all subject areas and technical skill levels
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and concepts
- Passion for crafting stable, best-in-class infrastructure
- Experience with at least one form of source control (eg. Git, Perforce)
We'd love it if you also have
- Experience working in build, release, or tools on shipped AAA game title
- Experience with Windows, Linux, or Mac systems administration
- Familiarity with cloud deployments (eg. GCP)
- Experience with container technologies (eg. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring tools (eg. Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB)
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tooling(eg. Helm, Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of branching and release strategies
