PeopleFun is seeking a highly skilled Build and Automation Engineer to join our Central Tech engineering team.
As a Software Engineer focused on Build and Automation across multiple teams, you’ll leverage (and grow) the breadth of your knowledge on CI/CD, automation, and game development, to best aid the delivery of our existing and new games. You will work in a team alongside product leads and other engineers to implement and maintain tools and pipelines in the space of continuous delivery and automation.
You will preferably have online and mobile gaming development experience, along with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for video games.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, implement, maintain, and extend the build and automation ecosystem used by many PeopleFun games
- Take an integral part of a multidisciplinary Central Tech Team to identify focus areas, opportunities, and needs across all Game Teams
- Collaborate with product and discipline leads to identify focus areas, handoff points, and provide the best solution for the development phase
- Lead and contribute to cross-team architectural designs and standards on build and automation, and implement relevant tools, workflows, processes and systemsImplement automation and validation tooling to ensure the quality of our software
- Collaborate with teams throughout PeopleFun to leverage their expertise and solutions, and help shape the technical direction of PeopleFun’s shared game development ecosystem
Your background and who you are:
- 3+ years of experience of software development experience
- Experience with automated build systems (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions)
- Product sense, pragmatism, and empathy in making tech decisionsHave an agile mindset
- General experience with Game Development
Bonus Points:
- Experience with C#, Python, and Game Programming
- Experience working with Unity Engine
- Experience collaborating across multiple teams
- Experience with Artifactory or similar artifact repositories
- Experience with d one or more shell languages (e.g. bash, bat, powershell)
- Experience with many of the tools in a game developer’s toolbox, and the curiosity and desire to learn even more of them
