Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Build Engineer to join our Adventure Academy team. You will help us build and support tools and pipelines to automate client, server and content builds for Adventure Academy MMO.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, design, and develop pipelines and tools to automate build and deployment of the client, server, and content for Adventure Academy MMO and support existing pipelines
- Own release and deployment processes, and design an automation strategy to drive the product to a shorter release cycle
- Implement continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and automated testing of all components
- Identify and establish quality and performance metrics for build pipelines and tools
- Collaborate and partner with internal and external teams to improve and standardize existing and new automation pipelines
- Develop and support tools that can be used by core engineering and design teams
- Solve complex problems with simple architectural solutions
Required Qualifications:
- You have a strong passion for automation and developer tools
- You have 2-4 or more years of experience creating tools and build automation pipelines for games and Unity applications
- You have strong proven programming skills and an understanding of modern dev-ops principles
- You are experienced using Jenkins, Travis, or another CI system
- You have used Docker to build and ship software using container technology
- You have built and shipped client and backend applications using continuous delivery
- You have experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- You are familiar with software design paradigms and Unity design patterns
- You have a solid understanding of the full software development life cycle
- You quickly find creative solutions to difficult problems
- You are highly motivated and a self-starter
Preferred Qualifications:
- You earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree or related subject
- You have experience in mobile games industry, ideally multiplayer games or mobile applications, as a dev-ops, automation or a QA engineer
- You are experienced in building software with Unity, C#, .NET Core or .NET Standard
- You are familiar with building Unity editor tools
- You have experience with automated testing
- You have experience working in an Agile development framework
