Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer 3 in San Diego, CA to work with globally distributed teams to engage early and provide continuous delivery of high-quality software applications. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience working with Java developing REST based web services utilizing object-oriented design and design patterns. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience participating in code reviews and promoting new technology and best practices; building resilient and scalable web services; participating in agile software development life-cycle utilizing Agile/Scrum tools including Jira and Confluence; working with continuous build and deployment processes and tools including Jenkins and Maven; working with SQL databases including Oracle; analyzing functional and business requirements and implementing software solutions designed based upon analysis; executing integration and unit tests using Junit and Selenium; utilizing java EE frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, and Jersey to build enterprise level application; working with Java application servers including Apache tomcat to deploy and host web services; utilizing source control tools including SVN and bug tracking systems; utilizing monitoring and searching tools including Splunk to identify the application issues; and creating design documents and UML diagrams for implementation of various web services.
