About the Role
Are you excited by the idea of building tools that accelerate development and help new developers ramp up quickly? Would you enjoy working on a platform that is fundamental to the way people develop software and manage their infrastructure inside Twitch? The Builder Frameworks team is looking for a manager interested in creating the next generation of developer-centric tools. You will lead a team that is defining best practices for building secure and available infrastructure at scale. You will work with the individual contributors on your team, and engineers across all of Twitch, to achieve well-engineered infrastructure-as-code(IaC) libraries that delight internal customers and lead to IaC definition "at scale". You will have company wide impact while accelerating development and ensuring the operational excellence of Twitch.tv. You will report to the Senior Manager of Builder Frameworks.
You can work in Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; Salt Lake City, UT or remote on the West Coast.
You Will:
- Manage a team of software and system development engineers
- Motivate your team to make a company wide impact
- Collaborate with product management resources in the Discovery and Rapid Design Phase process for product and feature development
- Guide execution and quality management of prioritized product features
- Participate in setting a company wide vision for software development
- Review and contribute to architecture innovation , strategic planning, and experimental research
You Have:
- 8+ years of relevant software development experience , including hands-on technical expertise distributed systems development
- 5+ years of people management experience , managing engineers
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technical education and work experience
- Experience with employee development, performance management, hiring/teambuilding
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams to establish and support product roadmaps
- Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, testing automation and operational excellence
- Excellent verbal and written communications

- Strong familiarity with the AWS ecosystem
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple teams
- Has taken software features from inception to customer delivery
- An understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software

The pay range for this position in Colorado and Connecticut is $ 163,200 - $240,000 yr ; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience . A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act and CT House Bill Number 6380. Base pay information is based on market location.
