Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test with passion for technology to join our Web Engineering team located in central Copenhagen. You will collaborate closely with front-end, back-end engineers, product owners and project managers based on-site and in the San Francisco office to take our web development ecosystem to the next level.
The Web Engineering team is responsible for maintaining and developing innovative features on Unity’s customer-facing websites. You will be working with the team towards creating best in class marketing, commerce and community websites that bring our user experience closer to our real-time 3D based software. Your role will be to safeguard the overall quality of the different feature areas through specific and smart testing. You will be part of a product team and work with its members to ensure the deliverables’ quality.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with you product team to review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Design, develop and execute test automation frameworks that will help the Web team to provide high quality services to Unity users
- Develop tools to assist manual and exploratory testing
- Work with the QA Lead on the team’s continuous improvement and guide them towards high quality features
Requirements
- Enjoyment of software development, software testing and using customer data to assess and improve product quality
- Experience with writing unit and full-stack end-to-end tests
- Experience in testing JSON-based RESTful APIs
- Understanding of build and continuous integration technologies
- Knowledge of working with Agile development methodologies
Bonus points
- Experience with writing tests in modern Javascript frameworks, like React and Node.js
- Knowledge of Drupal 8 or Symfony based PHP frameworks
- Passion for performance and/or security testing
