Position Summary
In this position, you will work with clients to help design, develop and advise on developing and testing highly performant and maintainable code using the latest automated testing techniques.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
The Software Development in Test (SDET) is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:
- Report to the SDET Lead for the AccelByte platform development department, working alongside developers as well as business stakeholders automating the acceptance criteria validation.
- Collaborate with the software developers, manual QA, and project managers to build robust and high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Contribute to both functional and non-functional testing areas such as performance and security aspects.
- Develop, maintain and integrate automation script as part of the release pipeline.
- Evaluate and analyze automation test results on each release process
- Perform any other design-related duties as required
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- 2+ years of software engineering or software testing
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Ability to design test cases documentation
- Experience in testing REST API or Web
- Prior experience in automated testing and building systems
- Experience with testing tools such as Postman, Gatling, K6, or Cypress.
- Comfortable with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, etc.
- Solid performance troubleshooting skills
- Good English communication skills both written and verbal, able to explain defects and provide steps to reproduce clearly
- Ability to work with clients on tight deadlines and fluid requirements
- Flexibility in working with people with different timezones
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
- Contribute to open-source projects and participate in technical communities
- Solid security best practices
- Experience working for or with AAA game studios
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure
