Software Development Engineer

Our team is transforming the retail experience and how gamers discover, acquire, and engage with gaming content. Our tools provide game developers and publishers with media-rich amazon storefront pages for both games and in-game items, as well as direct entitlement to the users’ accounts. We’re working closely with industry giants to seamlessly integrate Amazon storefront into their platforms, delivering the most customer-focused digital game and item purchasing experience to everyone.

You are an engineer with world-class software engineering skills and a passion for solving customer problems. You are a champion for players and developers; create functional and engaging features that delight customers, adhere to the highest standards, and achieve operational excellence. You utilize AWS technology to design, implement, and own the channels and services, as well cutting-edge front-end technologies. You work with first- and third-party game teams to build a set of tools and services that simplify selling, entitling, and distributing direct to customers, on all platforms.

Successful candidates have a track record of shipping quality software, excelling at communication, maintaining customer focus, and iterating alongside game teams to deliver the best product.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
· 1+ years of professional front end development.
· Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
· Experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Thyme Leaf, JQuery, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

· Strong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures
· Experience creating dynamic, mobile-first web pages
· Help drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience.
· Self-starter, quick learner and passionate problem resolver
· Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve customer problems
· Experience supporting large-scale high-availability systems in a production environment
· Demonstrated ability to choose the right language or tools for the project
· A passion for gaming
· Master's degree or relevant work experience
