Software Development Engineer, Quality

The opportunity

Are you a meticulous, hardworking engineer with a passion for Automation and Tools?

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to be part of our international Release Quality Assurance group. In this group, we are creating a new team that will be responsible for the source code bisection services (software engineering method) to identify change sets that result in a specific behavior change.

In this role, you will partner with the team lead to own the automation, tools creation, and maintenance of all testing activities. Your extensive technical skills combined with your ability to lead by example will enable you to have a phenomenal impact as a key member of the team.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain team infrastructure on the driven framework, process automation, and improvements
• Be responsible for all aspects of the bisection process including automation creation, establishing metrics, maintaining key performance indicators, reviewing effort estimates, release management and reporting
• Act as the primary point of contact between project partners
• Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of our tools and processes
• Mentor QA team members and promote a quality-first culture

What we're looking for

• You should be comfortable working within an international team and need to be proficient in both written and spoken English
• Confident building tools using a variety of the programming languages (Python, node.js or C# preferred), passion for driving quality via both deliverable solutions, as well as in code design and implementation
• CI / Automation knowledge and ability to write tools to improve processes
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or Mercurial
• The ability and experience to lead and mentor small teams whose work is fast-paced and project based

You might also have

• Experience in delivering training talks and writing documentation
• Understanding of building and deploying tools for Cloud environments
• Hands-on usage of Unity, Unreal or any other 3D engine
