Come play with us! Amazon Games is looking for a Software Development Engineer. In this role, you will own the architecture and operation of critical infrastructure for our live service, including how to optimize and automate in order to streamline deployments and minimize operational overhead.

Our team is focused on revolutionizing video game sales and distribution. We are untapping the power of Amazon for game developers by creating re-imagined Amazon Detail pages, and a seamless purchase and digital fulfillment experience for players across all platforms. As an engineer in an advanced technology group for games, you will be a creative problem solver who is obsessed with building revolutionary AWS services from the ground up and delivering the best customer experience.

We are looking for a seasoned full stack Software Development Engineer with a strong track record of building tooling that support large scale services. This is an infrastructure development position where you will leverage your experiences of shipping quality software at scale. You will excel at communication, leadership, and customer focus. Basic Qualifications

· 5+ years of development experience
· 10+ years of experience with least two of modern programming languages (React, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Python) and open-source technologies
· Experience leading an engineering team and developing career paths for engineers
· Deep familiarity with AWS Infrastructure and Tooling
· A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications

· Strong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures
· Experience raising your tech stack's operational excellence bar by leveraging AWS tech
· Experience creating dynamic, mobile-first web pages
· Help drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a truly innovative user experience.
· Self-starter, quick learner and passionate problem resolver
· Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve customer problems
· Experience supporting large-scale high-availability systems in a production environment
· Ability to work in diverse team.
