Software Engineer, Gameplay

Uken is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to become a member of a game development team. This position writes beautiful, maintainable code that creates fun, performant games played by millions of users.
You'll be w orking on meaningful things like:
- Creating production ready, high quality code that can be easily maintained and shared
- Working alongside developers in the architecting of entire features
- Taking ownership/accountability for all aspects of a certain area of game or codebase
- Promoting automated and manual code testing methodologies
- Breaking down product or technical features
- Innovating and promoting best practices across Uken
- Sharing knowledge across team and across the org
Your background should include:
- Experience with the Unity game engine using C#
- Strong understanding of game engines, game networking and graphics pipelines
- Experience building games for mobile platforms
- Intermediate experience with ShaderLab and Unity’s rendering pipeline
- An appetite to learn, grow, and take on increasingly more responsibility
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
- Shipped a mobile game, or AAA game
- Experience working on a medium sized highly collaborative team
- Contributions to an open source project (include a portfolio or Github profile)
