Associate Social Media Manager

World of Tanks is currently searching for an experienced Social Media Manager to support and grow our global channels of World of Tanks Console.

We are looking for an Associate Social Media Manager who eats lives and breathes video game industry (and possibly military history!) and who is passionate about using social media tools to build communities and grow brand awareness. You will be responsible for the branded channels, social media engagement and content delivery.

Reports To

The Associate Social Media Manager will report to the Community Manager.

What will you do?

• Manage day to day activities and communications of official social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
• Define social media priorities, set goals and targets, aligning with audience insights. Proactively identify areas of optimization, and set best practices
• Create and execute a content plan that would support the project and provide community members with key updates
• Collaborate on community assets with in-house artists
• Engage with community members across channels
• Report on performance across relevant channels using analytics to measure success and improve techniques
• Work closely with the community and product team to ensure that community feedback is addressed
• Work closely with Marketing Manager, Legal, Platform Relations Manager to meet the expectations of external partners

What are we looking for?

• Experience working in Social Media on commercial brands, including 2 years of experience in managing social media campaigns, budget management, designing tracking, and measurement
• Experience in maintaining social media pages or online communities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate activities with both local and global teams
• Exceptional communication skills in English and someone who is comfortable with copywriting for social media purposes
• Positive spirit and empathetic to our audience
• Curious about the console and wider gaming market, game development and in-game activities
• Knowledge of social media trends, algorithms, and KPIs
• Well-versed in social media management tools
• Willing to employ the best SMM practices in the industry as well as come up with your own strategies in the future
• A responsible person, willing to work as part of the team
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize and work well under deadlines and time constraints
• Working knowledge of Photoshop in order to modify existing assets for use
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret feedback and predict player sentiment

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
• Working knowledge of the Atlassian software suite a plus
• Knowledge of World of Tanks Console and its gameplay mechanics is a strong plus
• Ability to quickly create content posts using your phone
• Bachelor Degree in Communications, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent work experience
