Social Media & Community Manager

We are looking for a Social Media & Community Manager to join our team!

THE JOB

As the Social Media & Community Manager of the talented and passionate Brand Team behind RETURNAL, you will work closely with a team of media designers, producers, artists, and key stakeholders from Housemarque and Sony to help drive our communication efforts and campaigns for Housemarque games.

It will be your role to ensure the fostering and strategic growth of our community, a thoughtful and consistent social media output across different platforms, and champion the creative vision of our projects and games.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role and who is able to work autonomously. You are excited about building our strategy from the ground up, with a genuine interest in interacting with and helping players, and with working in an environment and with a team where making an impact is supported and encouraged.

The position is based in Helsinki, at the Housemarque headquarters.

What will your day-to-day look like?

As part of a small team with big dreams, your day to day might not always look the same.

• You will be responsible for establishing and planning our social media content output and strategy, making sure that our channels are always up to date, engaging, growing, and our community is catered for.

• As a new team member you will be able to suggest improvements to our current platform and strategy, including exploring new platforms, changing elements of our current ones, and possible collaboration with content creators.

• As our in-house wordsmith, you will also create our blog articles pipeline, be able to interview potential subjects for new blogs, and source media content.

• Whenever video content is required (live or recorded) you will be able to help produce high quality and relevant content, together with our media designers, streams, or short clips.

• Weekly, you will sync up with the rest of the team, where we all plan together what the following week’s focus is going to be.

• You will also be an active participant of our regular calls with our peers at PlayStation, and provide updates to our colleagues about our team’s strategy plans.

• Address players’ queries on a daily basis to make sure that possible issues are addressed promptly. This, however, will only be a minimal part of the role.

Even though our Social Media and Community Manager is expected to work independently, our team will be there to support you and make sure you are successful and happy in your new role, whenever needed.

What will help you to be successful in this role?

• In depth knowledge of social media trends and tools
• Confident speaking in front of an audience and/or camera
• Proactive, initiative-driven, able to work independently
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Admin and agent knowledge of Zendesk or similar
• Admin and agent knowledge of Agorapulse or similar
• Knowledge of image and/or video editing software is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
