The Social Media Associate serves as the primary point of contact for The Pokémon Company International’s (TPCi’s) Digital Consumer Engagement team and TPCi’s Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) business. Reporting into the Director of Digital Consumer Engagement, this role will coordinate cross-departmentally between Marketing, Public Relations, Product Development, eCommerce, Customer Service and more to support organizational and promotional goals by creating engaging content for The Pokémon Company International’s digital marketing outlets. This includes establishing and keeping social channels updated, brand-focused and immersive as it pertains to the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
What You’ll Do
- Be an ambassador for the Pokémon brand and it’s TCG business in the digital space.
- Ideate, launch and maintain dedicated social accounts pertaining to the Pokémon TCG.
- Create and maintain an “always on” social media presence and strategy for the Pokémon TCG.
- Create and execute on a social media editorial calendar for Pokémon TCG to meet both organizational and promotional marketing goals.
- Partner closely with Community Marketing to foster fan communities on social media platforms.
- Lead on broader social media marketing campaigns as they pertain to the Pokémon TCG.
- Create dynamic written content that promotes audience engagement, increases audience interest, and encourages audience participation.
- Brief a consistent stream of new Trading Card Game content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering where necessary to optimize channels.
- Analyze and reports audience information, demographics, and success of existing social media projects and campaigns.
- Actively work with the entirety of Digital Consumer Engagement team to create synergy between all consumer-facing digital platforms and channels(I.e., Email, Streaming, Community, etc.).
What You’ll Bring
- 2-4 years of proven experience with social media strategy, community management, and/or product marketing, preferably in the Trading Card Game space.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, YouTu.be, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook etc.) and how they can be leveraged to achieve business goals
- Proven expertise in developing social media campaigns and effective content strategies.
- Highly organized and able to manage several projects and beats concurrently.
- Experience creating, implementing, measuring, and reporting on campaign and content performance.
- Avid Pokémon Trading Card Game player/fan with deep expertise and interest in Trading Card games in general.
- Empathy towards the TCG player fanbase and an understanding of gamer culture in general to create authentic social experiences.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience working within a highly-regulated industry is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent level of experience
