Role description:
The Social content & community manager is an important part of the Marketing team at GreenPark Sports, aiming to drive positive sentiment, organic growth, engagement, and satisfaction among GreenPark players - and beyond. As a social content & community manager you will play a key role in social content strategy and community management. The role will be responsible for managing and publishing content on GreenPark Sports social channels, crafting a strong brand identity, as well as help build the audience and manage the community. This is a fun opportunity to help build the GreenPark Sports brand and cultural connectivity in the sports world.
Responsibilities
- Build audience and community of GreenPark Sports owned social channels; to drive brand awareness and engagement with fans & players.
- Craft engaging content for GreenPark Sports social channels; Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter
- Create bold, eye-catching, engaging and sharable social-first content deliverables including: images, videos, gifs, memes, scene-lifts, IG stories, etc.
- Manage the GreenPark Sports social media calendar and partner with leagues to identify opportunities for content amplification
- Support campaign initiatives across GreenPark Sports social channels in support of Brand Marketing efforts
- Partner with PR agency to develop storylines and messaging, including latest league news and game features
- Track social performance/engagement metrics and make recommendations for improvement in usability, content development and promotion
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social media industry trends and assess potential for new social platforms and opportunities
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in social media management, marketing, or relevant field
- A strong understanding of Facebook + Instagram + YouTube + Twitter + Tik Tok, and what contributes to content performing well on these platforms.
- Ability to pitch and develop creative ideas for social content and initiatives
- Established history of embracing and unlocking new social platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge of social media management tools and platforms
- Prior experience developing social media strategies/campaigns
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with proven experience on writing, editing and crafting content for social media
- Strong knowledge of sports i.e. Basketball, Soccer and eSports a plus
- Passionate about sports, entertainment, popular culture, gaming, cross-platform storytelling and the GreenPark Sports brand.
