WGAMES, is a well-funded, social gaming company based in the heart of downtown Toronto. We develop high-end mobile games that will be distributed globally. We are seeking an experienced, talented Sr Technical Artist.
Responsibilities:
· Solve technical challenges for the Unity developers, artists and animators teams;
· Work closely with the team leads, producers, and art director;
· Act as a technical advisor; inform teams of foreseeable issues and technical limitations;
· Research and prototype cutting-edge tools and rendering techniques;
· Find creative solutions to realize artistic visions within the technical limits of the target platforms;
· Create shaders and effects to enhance the visuals of the game;
· Research/oversee/implementation of map types, pixel shaders, and particle systems if applicable;
· Set up of project directory structures and naming conventions;
· Decide on tools and technologies for Artists, Animators, and Mobile client developers;
· Build prototypes based on the stakeholder’s concepts and ideas.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Degree in Computer Science or Game Development;
· 5+ years of experience in 3D UI animations and visual effects creation;
· Unity mobile applications development experience;
· Understanding and knowledge of mobile device limitations and challenges;
· High level of proficiency in 2D and 3D Graphic editors (Photoshop, 3D MAX);
· Work experience in the mobile game development industry.
