Site Reliability Intern - Undergraduate
United States, Aliso Viejo: this position must be performed in a fully in person capacity out of the SIE-PlayStation Aliso Viejo, CA office.
About the Team:
Site Reliability Engineering at PlayStation is responsible for the production operations and development of reliable systems for PlayStation Game Streaming and ShareScreen / SharePlay services on the PSN.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with SREs to develop and enhance internal tooling for global PlayStation services.
- Collect and analyze tooling requirements from SRE engineers to enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute code to Git repositories and participate in peer code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
- Apply software engineering patterns and practices, with a particular focus on GoLang development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution, with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026.
- Proficient in software engineering patterns and practices, ideally with a focus on GoLang development.
- Broad understanding of software design concepts and methodologies.
- Willingness to collaborate with SRE engineers to develop and refine tooling.
- Experience submitting code to Git repositories and participating in code reviews.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and working in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility:
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
- Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
Intern Pay Range
$45.75 — $45.75 USD
