Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Stryder web service by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
  • Engage in improving the whole lifecycle of services from inception through deployment, operations, and refinement.
  • Create and support automation tooling to improve the reliability of the platform and to increase the productivity of teams within Respawn.
  • Analyzing logs and telemetry data to infer behavior of various services that players and (game servers) are interacting with.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise during service impacting events.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure improvements and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Strong grasp of Linux systems, networking, and security
  • Public cloud experience with AWS, GCP, etc. - Passion for resilience and stability of owned services.
  • Experience with containers and containerization of workloads, e.g. Docker, Podman, etc
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Experience with CI tools and infrastructure such as GitLab, AWS CodeDeploy, etc.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and frameworks like ELK, Grafana, Datadog, etc.
