Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Site Reliability Engineer 3 in San Diego, CA to ensure the operational readiness of all services on the company commerce platform before introducing them to pre-production and production environments. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience performing application management within an AWS cloud environment and on-prem data centers environment. Prior experience must include at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience identifying areas for process automation and developing automated scripts and tools for regular operational activities, including Python, Shell and wlst scripting, Ansible and Puppet for configuration management, Jenkins pipeline for automation of deployment, Bakery CICD model, and Nginx as a webserver and load balancing; driving and implementing monitoring across platform to provide enhanced metrics and detailed platform visibility, application health, and service performance using monitoring dashboards and Wily Introscope APM dashboard, Datadog dashboard, Splunk dashboards, and Sensu; building alerting into monitors to alert incidents or anomalies in the production environment; analyzing cloud service utilization and efficiency to optimize costs; working on Apache tomcat webservers, F5 load balancers, and Akamai; and performing troubleshooting of application and environment issues and performing root cause analysis on results.
