Server Engineer

As a Server Engineer at Vicarious Visions, you will be responsible for our end-to-end network stack. You will work on categories such as social integration, matchmaking, responsiveness, and reliability. All while providing our players with an exceptional online gaming experience.

The Quests

• Creating real-time systems to keep game clients up-to-date with server state information.
• Managing server demands for a large number of concurrent players.
• Usage of various techniques for constructing packets and limiting bandwidth usage will be key to shaping a smooth online experience.
• Collaborating with other engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Performing application development.

Player Profile

• You Have 3+Years of Engineering Experience.
• You possess expertise with scalable and responsive servers.
• You are comfortable programming in a variety of languages including C and C++.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You have experience with low-level networking protocols (e.g. TCP, UDP, HTTP).
