Senior iOS Architect

Epic seeks an iOS engineer to craft mobile social experiences at Fortnite scale. The Social team at Epic builds social Platform products, including Houseparty and the Fortnite social app PartyHub. Social at Epic is about empowering users to share virtual experiences with their friends and loved-ones.

As an iOS engineer at Epic, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of mobile development to solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions. You will collaborate with an experienced team at the forefront of social gaming, in order to provide an exceptional mobile experience for our users. This is the perfect opportunity if you are enthusiastic about bringing empathy to online interactions and sharing that enthusiasm with others.

Responsibilities:

• Actively seek elegant, production-oriented solutions to difficult problems
• Designing architecture and core work for multiple apps
• Independently drive projects of significant scope
• Helping build systems and process that keep everything running
• Interfacing with other teams and pieces of code base that are outside of iOS team’s control

Qualifications:

• 10+ development experience, 3+ years iOS specific experience
• Experience with Games/Social preferred
• Data architecture for mobile apps
• UE4 experience, in a professional context
• Strong skills in Swift and a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc)
