POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Web Manager will lead from strategy to implementation all aspects of the Bandai Namco Entertainment’s web ecosystem, including content and feature development, user experience, conversions (CRO), analytics, web technologies and all user journeys. This position requires an experienced professional with keen attention for detail and a passion for delivering the best online experience.
In this position, you will collaborate with internal UX design and both front and back-end development teams, to lead and create online experiences that help our Digital Marketing efforts achieve established department KPI’s and company goals.
This is a hands-on role that requires experience in all facets of web design, development, operation, and content management systems and tools. You will be responsible for both day-to-day web operation and maintenance as well as long term vision and strategy.
This is a key role in the new Digital Marketing org helping Bandai Namco Entertainment engage and understand it’s customers better, working hand in hand crafting strategies with the department head, CRM, brand, social and paid media teams to achieve business goals.
Flexible, Remote and Work From Home options are available for this position until approximately April 2022. Afterwards we expect all employee's to join us at our new offices in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for all of company web experiences and strategies from concept to launch with a goal of keeping experiences fresh, engaging, and relevant to our audiences while positioning our brands and IP’s as fun and entertaining.
- Lead and define the company’s strategic web business initiative roadmap, calendar, feature set, SEO and tool / vendor procurement that positively support the impact key metrics and goals.
- Develop design and content strategy for all 3 screens with a mobile first mentality – Mobile, Desktop, And Tablet break points / UX.
- Partner with Marketing and content creators to roll out and or unlock high quality unique content and messaging that drives engagement and converts both organic and paid UA efforts online.
- Partner with CRM, Social and Brand teams to incorporate tactical programs and/or content strategies in lifecycle plans for our life cycle marketing efforts -- engagement, acquisition, retention, and monetization when applicable.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of programs from ideation, design, development, QA and ultimately launch ensuring on time and quality execution.
- Utilize analytics and data to consistently optimize our web experiences via A/B, multivariant and other forms of testing and analysis.
- Present online strategies, KPI analysis and general web updates to internal teams, management and executives when required.
- Own and manage the usage and development of features and optimizations for our internal CMS (Content Management System) in partnership with Web Development teams and Digital department head.
- Lead relationships and manage budgets for all 3 rd party online resources / agencies and vendors
- Support the promotional efforts of the Digital Sales and E-commerce business units/channels.
- Manage the incoming workflow and online requests for site updates, new features, and content in partnership with project managers and within our JIRA sprint planning process.
- Manage and mentor web content manager (direct report) on best practices, UX principles and strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience and proven track record in web site management, analytics, and operations
- Experience interacting with stakeholders, agencies, design, and development teams to manage online components and site development
- Experience defining website information architecture (IA), user experience (UX), and user journey design and optimization
- Strong familiarity with CMS technology and tools (Drupal, WordPress or similar)
- Strong understanding of user-centered design best practices, with a strong creative eye
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, or similar web tracking tools, required.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in using JIRA, sprint planning and other project management tools and methodologies
- Technically savvy and skilled (basic understanding of coding is helpful - HTML, CSS, etc.)
- Good understanding or experience working in CRM and/or E-commerce
- Love of games and entertainment space is a plus!
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience in digital marketing and web development
