Senior VFX Artist

Do you have a passion for VFX and want to help us push the visual quality of our games to the next level? Do you have experience creating stylized VFX for video games? Do you want autonomy and ownership over the work you do? Do you enjoy identifying and creating best practices for a particular problem? If yes, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Work with Art Director to define the look and feel of in-game VFX
• Work with or without concept art to achieve high-quality VFX
• Create handcrafted VFX to be used in game
• Optimize work while maintaining balance between quality and performance
• Participate in team art discussions and reviews
• Help define and enforce structure such as documentation, pipelines and naming conventions
• Provide guidance, mentorship and instruction in VFX Art processes both inside and outside the VFX discipline.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a VFX Artist in the video game or film industry
• Proficient working with Maya, 3ds Max or other current generation tools and workflows
• Experience with VFX Editors and real-time particle systems
• Experience with node-based shaders/materials and texturing
• Excellent communicator and self motivated

Nice to Haves

• Experience working in Unreal Engine 4/5
• Shipped 1 AAA PC or Console game as a VFX Artist
