Senior User Experience Researcher

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior User Experience Researcher to join our team at Creative Assembly. As part of the Analytics & User research department, you will be helping our development teams create world class games by providing reliable and actionable feedback on game functionality and usability via user research tests on consumers.
Key Responsibilities
On a day to day basis you will be planning and designing a range of user research tests to support the design and development of Creative Assembly games, as well as other SEGA products. You will partner with many professions, to create a UX framework that supports decision-making across the studio. You would be mentoring and guiding more junior user researchers to standardise and improve research practices. You will also develop mixed methods research, by combining user research results with game telemetry data
You would be working closely with development teams with the design of user research tests, writing up, collating, and presenting findings to development team. You would also be working with development teams to improve UX design, including suggesting best practices, and advocating for user-centred design.
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience
Essential
- Relevant experience in User Research, ideally for the video game industry
- A passionate interest in video games, as well as a good understanding of video games, genres, and key video game concepts.
- A degree in HCI, or a related discipline such as Cognitive Psychology. Ability to translate research findings into actionable next steps.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
- UX Design knowledge and best practices
- Strong time-management skills, with an ability to make calls on which tasks/projects should be prioritized over others, in order to best help the studio.
