Senior Unreal Engine Programmer - Remote

Uken is looking for a Senior Unreal Engine Programmer to work on the creation of a leading web3 art platform. As a member of the core team, you will have autonomy to shape the evolution of your role and help form an A-plus team.

As a Ukenite, you'll be working on meaningful things like:

  • Implementing gameplay features, UI/UX and associated logic
  • Creating well designed, production-ready, high-quality code in C++ that can be easily maintained and shared
  • Optimizing code and implementing for high performance
  • Testing features developed, and making them ready for the QA team
  • Working alongside a talented team of designers and developers

Your background should include:

  • 3 + years’ experience building games in Unreal Engine 4
  • Excellent programming skills in C++
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, coding, and testing patterns
  • Experience in the development of UI and animation systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently with teammates
  • Experience working with multiplayer netcode and matchmaking
  • Familiarity with Plastic SCM source control
  • A Github or portfolio link with your project experience

It'd be a big plus if you have:

  • Experience in game optimization techniques: improving frames-per-second, reducing draw calls, and optimizing code and memory for high performance.
  • Shipped a game made with Unreal Engine
  • Contributed to an open-source project (include a portfolio or Github profile)
  • Technical Art or Level Design experience
  • Excitement about the potential of crypto, digital ownership, web3
