Senior UX/UI Designer Contractor

Osmo seeks an exceptional Senior UX/UI Designer to help us design interactive experiences for Mixed Reality products for children. This is for a 3 to 6 month contract.
What you will be working on:
- We're building Mixed Reality educational experiences for children. We're looking for designers who are excited to design new and innovative products that have never been built before
- These are 0 to 1 type of projects. They will require you to be comfortable with ambiguity, fast prototyping, and testing

Responsibilities
- Define the core user-experience for a new product category
- Lead brainstorming, prototyping, and testing sessions to define the product
- Work with artists to define the brand, visual style, and the art direction of the product
- Lead the full design process, from brainstorms, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, to delivering assets to the engineers, testing, and iterating
- Make independent creative decisions, and work with a team to execute them
- Collaborate remotely with designers and engineers from our teams in Palo Alto, California, Bangalore, India, and Paris, France
- Be the user advocate to ensure the highest level of usability and playability
- Be the design advocate and push for the highest quality of the polish
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working in UI/UX design and interaction design
- A strong portfolio showcases your UI/UX design and graphic design skills
- Awareness of current trends in experience design and user interface design
- Experience creating game UI
- Deep understanding of UX principles, technical implementations, and limitations
- Awareness of current trends in-game experiences and user interface design
- Full fluency in Sketch or Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and prototyping software such as Principle, InVision or Protopie
- Exceptional time management skills—you can work effectively in a dynamic and iterative setting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—you can effectively work in cross-functional teams and convey information/decisions to all parties involved
Nice to have
- Traditional art skills
- Animation & Motion design skills
- Proficiency with Unity, creating animations, integrating UI assets, and prefabs
- Experience designing applications for a global and multilingual user (kids) base
- Experience working with AI, AR, and VR technologies
