Senior UI/UX Artist

What We Need:

Our Austin studio is looking for a Senior UI/UX Artist to contribute to the next iteration of the legendary NBA 2K franchise. Under the guidance of the Director of Art and team leads, you will partner with the artists on the team, as well as design, engineering, and production to evaluate and improve our UI standards. This role will report to the Director of Art.

What You Will Do:

• Work closely with other artists and team members to build razor sharp user interfaces
• Use proprietary tools to implement phenomenal UI
• UX responsibilities include, but limited to wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
• Be the voice of the user (player) in the creation of new and the evolution of current UI
• Collaborate with Art leadership to achieve outstanding standards
• Create and design UI content and animation
• Build and update components
• Prototype navigation flows and ideas in Adobe XD or Figma
• Ensure good UX Design for our players
• Be Creative
• Motion Skills + knowledge would be a bonus
• Understands 3D + Maya
• Learn from and grow with some of the top talent in the industry

Who Will Be A Great Fit:

• At least 7+ years of experience in a senior UI/UX artist role
• Skilled in every aspect of UI/UX development
• Strong technical skills with experience implementing UI in various IDEs
• Self-aware, life learner, always keeping up with the latest technology, workflow tips and tools
• Can work to specification and to schedule, in an existing pipeline, and equally work with minimal instruction if needed
• Experienced with Maya
• Python/Mel Scripting preferred
• A great team player
• Be independent and proactive
• Reliable and accountable for their work
• Good Communication + Collaboration skills
• Good sense of Art + Design, layout, Typography and Color
• Stay on top of UI / UX Trends
• Has experience in the game industry or has been working on interactive product design as a UI Artist
• Knowledge on Adobe Suite software
• You are passionate and driven to make great designs and user-focused experiences
• A love for basketball is certainly appreciated but not mandatory
• Passion for video games (not just ours!)
