Your Mission

The Senior UI Technical Designer will work with a small team of UI Technical Designers, UX Designers, UI Artists, and Engineers to design and implement UI screens, components, and other assets into the game engine.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Implement screens, widgets, logic, and data flows to design specifications using visual scripting
  • Implement UI layouts and animations of prepared screen assets to match visual targets and style guide specifications
  • Break-down features into defined structures, components, and processes that meet the technical, aesthetic, and functional requirements of the game's vision
  • Work closely with our UI/UX Director, UX/UI Leads and other Designers on implementing and scrutinizing UI components
  • Design and build tools and workflows to support iterative, large-scale development
  • Work with our Producers, Designers and Engineers to determine design, technical and data requirements
  • Work closely with Producers and Directors to estimate work and assist in prioritizing
  • Mentor and motivate junior UI Technical Designers

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience developing for multi-platform user interfaces for HD console video games or similar products
  • A portfolio of work samples showcasing UI scripting abilities
  • Minimum of 5+ years as a UI Technical Designer, Front-End developer, or similar role
  • Expert proficiency with scripting languages (Lua, ActionScript, C#, Python, React JS).
  • Collaborative and inclusive attitude with the ability to listen, learn, and adapt to alternate views and approaches
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present work and respond quickly to feedback
  • Experience working with UI Art and UX Design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and more
  • Passion for games and game development

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $92,920.00 - $171,814.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
