THE JOB AND THE TEAM!

We are looking for a Senior UI Artist to join the development of our latest title, an ambitious online multiplayer third person action game in Unreal Engine 5.

You will have the opportunity to use your visual communication and graphic design skills to create innovative and engaging front end experiences for our games, by designing & creating benchmark quality UI, setting the bar and provide artistic, technical guidance and mentorship on how to achieve it.

Working within our talented art team, you will:

· Set and maintain a high-quality benchmark across the UI design supporting the art direction

· Work with game and UX design to ensure a legible, fun, and intuitive UI

· Translate UX research, tests, and designs and craft high quality consistent UI visuals

· Drive collaboration with UI Dev, UX and design in the implementation of UI components in Unreal

· Recognise and actively unblock any process and pipeline inefficiencies

· Create, improve, and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, to effectively communicate your interaction ideas with the team

· Review internal and external assets to maintain a consistent quality and provide effective feedback and critique

· Document and communicate technical specifications and visual benchmarks that support the games artistic vision to both internal and external teams

· Support production guides, breaking down detailed steps to reproduce assets within style

· Support, promote and build good team and studio morale in an open, creative environment

· Feedback to outsource partners or freelancers as required

What we need:

· Portfolio showcasing ‘hands on’ outstanding quality UI design for real-time games

· Experience of full game development cycles

· Experience working with game engines

· Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe CC

· Excellent knowledge and expertise with fundamental graphic design principles

· Ability to deconstruct and understand various art styles, and replicate successfully

· Thorough knowledge of end-to-end UI workflows and related disciplines

· Proficient in prototyping and pre-visualization process and software

· Excellent understanding of layout, typography, colour theory, logo and iconography design

· Comfortable running critique sessions

· Excellent time management and prioritization skills

· Ability to communicate clearly, and concisely to team, peers, and management

· Able to level up junior artists through coaching and mentoring

· Knowledge of Accessibility features and requirements

· Professional attitude and work ethic
