Context
The Ubisoft Paris Mobile studio is expanding its technical team to bring a better level of service to mobile game productions.
The Ubisoft Paris Mobile studio's Tools team creates tools in response to Production's needs: tools to edit game content, facilitate the integration of assets in the game engine, operate the game live, manage build versions, and so on.
Position description
The Ubisoft Paris Mobile studio's Engine & Tools team (comprising seven people in Paris and five in Bordeaux) is looking for a Senior Tools Programmer to join the production of an unannounced mobile AAA project based on a well-known Ubisoft licence.
Your main missions in this position:
- Help define the project's technical orientations;
- Devise and implement solutions for the production teams:
- identify problems within the production team,
- design tool prototypes,
- submit them to the production teams and gather their initial feedback,
- iteratively improve the solution through to the implementation of a tool that matches the production team's various needs;
- Develop tools that will allow this team to be self-sufficient;
- Actively participate in the development, optimisation and pooling of tools used on a daily basis.
More generally, you will help to develop the studio's tech stack and actively participate in the engine's development (Unity).
Qualifications
To succeed in this job, you must:
- Be fully proficient in C#, have a solid knowledge of Unity and a thorough understanding of other contemporary engines;
- Be fully familiar with TypeScript, React, or another Javascript library;
- Have at least 3 years' experience in a Tooling position, and the development of several games to your name;
- Be highly interested in mobile technology and in the opportunities, issues and challenges inherent in this medium;
- Be meticulous, teamwork-oriented and familiar with agile methods;
- Speak fluent English.
- Knowledge of video games and graphic editing software (Maya, AfterEffects, 3DS Max, etc.) is an advantage to be able to efficiently liaise with the production teams.

Recruitment process
After an initial phone conversation with a Recruiter, you will be invited to the studio in Montreuil for two interviews: a first technical interview with Pascal Brangier, the position's Manager, and a second interview with the Studio Manager and the HR Manager.
