We're looking for a Senior Programmer with a focus on Unreal editor tools and C# tools to join the code team on a story driven horror blockbuster with genre defining goals.

This huge, highly ambitious partnership project takes atmosphere, storytelling, player agency and narrative firmly into ground-breaking territory on new-generation hardware technologies.

As a Senior Tool Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the tools used by designers, artists and technical artists. You will be working on next gen platforms and in areas such as but not limited to – animation, rendering, 3D software pipelines, in editor tools, motion capture integration, cameras and sequencers, etc. We expect Seniors to be able to mentor more junior programmers and take full ownership of the tools they create.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with your lead and other disciplines to drive the development tools for the game.
  • Take full ownership of multiple tools and pipelines.
  • Prototype, implement, iterate and polish new and existing tools and associated systems.
  • Produce robust, efficient, clear and maintainable code, while striving to reduce technical debt across the game.
  • Provide constructive input to and feedback on potential new features during the initial design, prototyping, iteration and polish stages.
  • Be a point of contact for designers, artists and other coders for the systems you create and maintain.
  • Tackle the thornier elements of shipping a game, such as debugging awkward crashes, profiling and optimising code, and performing diligent testing of changes.

Requirements:

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • Experienced with Unreal Engine, ideally UE5.
  • Experienced with Console development.
  • Approachable, with a proactive attitude towards cross discipline communication.
  • A willingness and desire to learn, adapt and work outside of your comfort zone.
  • Self-motivated, and able to self-manage and prioritise own workload.
