As a Senior Authoring Tools Engineer on the Avatar Motion team, you will explore novel authoring paradigms and develop tools to empower creators at all levels of expertise (from expert developers to novice players) to design their own motion and AI assets for Roblox Avatars. These include stylistic animations, parametric motions, state machines and behavior trees for NPC’s, smart objects, and more.

Your efforts will be focused on enhancing the authoring workflow for developers within Roblox Studio and enabling in-experience authoring of motion and AI assets for players directly within a Roblox experience. Your results will bridge the gap between play and creation and empower users at all levels of expertise to realize their vision for the next generation of Roblox experiences.

We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about novel user interfaces and AI-assisted authoring for Avatar motion and NPC behavior. You need to be proficient in C++ and have experience working with game engines. Prior experience with building out animation creation tools, and other novel authoring interfaces is a huge plus.
