The E-Commerce team develops the software, services and infrastructure that helps millions of players process transactions worldwide. Whether it’s setting up your World of Warcraft subscription or buying a mount, or purchasing a Hearthstone pack in game or on our web shop!
Covid-19 Hiring: We are currently working under a temporary work-from-home model and are continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position but will later be assigned to work full-time at a physical location on-site .
Responsibilities
- Work and collaborate with B&OP teams to embed and establish quality goals, develop test plans and understand risk-based testing.
- Identify and implement technical solutions (tests) increasing test efficiency and coverage, while reducing the cost of test execution.
- Debug and tackle issues in the test runs, partner with the team to identify the root cause and write reports/bugs.
- Analyze test data and results to identify patterns, report on risk status to development partners, and influence software quality.
- Collaborate with analysts and engineers to provide testing guidance.
- Promote quality software among individuals and teams.
- Share ideas, solutions, processes and best practices within the team and across Blizzard, to be part of innovative and exciting products!
- Champion Blizzard’s core values, especially “Commit to Quality”.
- Test against deployed changes to production.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability (3+ years) within a QA or similar role with a focus on engineering or automation.
- Proven experience as a QA tester with Deep understanding of testing practices and the SDLC.
- Solid understanding of acceptance, functional, regression, exploratory and integration testing.
- Experience working in SCRUM/Agile Environments close to a development team.
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Experience with API Testing and API Automation (Postman, JUnit, TestNG, Rest Assured SoapUI)
- Experience with Web Testing and Web Automation (Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks)
- Experience with CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins)
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Github.
Pluses
- 2+ years of experience working within a professional environment with large testing code bases in Java, Javascript, or C#.
- Experience in Ecommerce technologies/platforms/services to design test for web services (micro-services), web sites (SPAs), security.
- Experience writing scripts to optimize manual workflows.
- Experience with software release management.
- Experience with Linux, Docker containers.
- Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $19.23 - $35.58 Hourly. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
