Senior Technical Recruiter
Blackbird is growing and we need an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter! If you are someone who wants to make a huge impact through owning full-cycle recruitment, driving hiring strategies, and delivering a best-in-class candidate experience, this is the role for you. The Senior Technical Recruiter is a community builder and will help to build candidate awareness for Blackbird Interactive. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, your primary focus will be full cycle recruitment for Technical and Design roles.
Responsibilities
- Full cycle recruitment. Recruit primarily for technical and design roles at all levels, but also non-technical positions as needed. Deploy various sources and methods to conduct strategic sourcing and outreach initiatives to identify and engage top active and passive talent from diverse backgrounds in the marketplace.
- Build partnerships with hiring managers, resourcing, and HR partners and provide pertinent information and advice throughout the recruitment process.
- Work with the Recruitment Manager to create strategies to ensure we employ a proactive and creative approach to bring in the best talent to continuously level up our team.
- Research trends, gather data on important recruitment metrics, and craft and execute sourcing initiatives to find markets to discover new sources of talent. Leverage market trends to identify key opportunities to attract talent.
- Guide and support hiring team members through the interview process with coaching on best practices.
- Work with Blackbird Interactive’s DE&I strategy by consistently incorporating equitable hiring practices throughout recruiting process
- Create partnerships with schools, organize and attend job fairs, and use social media and any other helpful means to find candidates.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ of experience hands-on recruitment experience in a fast paced, high growth environment focusing on technical roles such as Developers (Front & Back End), Quality Assurance Specialists, Systems Administrators, and Dev Ops Engineers, Game Directors, Technical Designers, UI/UX Designers
- Deep understanding of sourcing, headhunting, and recruitment pipeline development strategies and techniques
- Ability to organize multiple projects and shift focus depending on project/studio needs
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Creative and pragmatic thinker
- Self-motivated and resilient
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Works well with others and as part of a team
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or HR Information System (HRIS)
Pluses
- Experience with Recruitment/Human Resources in video games or an adjacent industry (High-tech, VFX, Animation etc.)Knowledge of the gaming industry, and the games it produces
