Senior Technical Program Manager, Data, AI@Unity

The Opportunity

Our Data team at Unity empowers teams across all departments to drive the business forward using the terabytes of data our company ingests and processes to derive meaningful insights. From simulations to asset store recommendations to in-editor personalization, we create the foundation that allows other teams at Unity to build best-in-class services and tools for Unity users.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead ground-up initiatives for the Data team, under AI@Unity. This role involves working closely with business owners, product managers, engineering, and other technical teams across the organization to define requirements, identify dependencies, and manage timelines. At the core of the position is excellence in planning and execution. It involves regular communication with senior management and partners on roadmaps, progress, risks, and change control.

You are also somebody who is effective at using data to drive the creation of processes and tools and is steadfast in seeking measured improvement. You will work closely with and across agile teams, and you will be able to see and feel the impact of your contributions on all of our customers. Your work will impact how Unity will be used by creators across the world to bring their work to life!

What you'll be doing

• Work with engineers, product managers, and other partners to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems while keeping a watchful eye on dependencies, timelines, and customer experience
• Manage and coordinate critical activities such as new launches, capacity planning, customer feedback, escalations, and business development activities
• Run meetings, build and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles
• Compute, manage, and drive critical metrics essential for operational and business level excellence of the project, and provide visibility to all partners via well-structured reports
• Participate in producing roadmap documents and presentations to improve visualizations
• Manage multiple aspects of Data Platform, Data Science, ML platform, and BI projects

What we're looking for

• Strong leader who can prioritize well and who understands how to drive focus
• Excellent organizational skills and project tracking abilities; experience in agile software development methodologies, relentless focus, and attention to detail
• Ability to present program information with visuals and having an eye for details.
• Experience building processes, project management, and working with development and operation teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the company

You might also have

• Experience launching multiple Products and Programs
• Experience working with or building data platforms and ML training pipelines
• Experience with Unity Engine, 3D simulators, game development, and graphics
• Experience working with remote teams
• Experience as a software developer, or equivalent experience to demonstrate technical design expertise and understanding of the developer experience
