Senior Technical Product Manager

Description

**Candidates must be in Cedar Falls, Iowa or be willing to relocate.**

At SciPlay, Technical Product Managers are detail-oriented and utilize their excellent interpersonal, and communication skills to lead and motivate development teams to execute and implement new tools or engines to build slot machines. They understand the goals of the business and the needs of the customer. They are responsible for product growth by managing technical initiatives including defining and prioritizing the development team's backlog. They work with their team to define ”WHAT” and “WHEN” new functionality, features, or products will be delivered.

Key Responsibilities

SciPlay is a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web platforms, providing highly entertaining free-to-play games that millions of people play every day for their authenticity, engagement and fun.

SciPlay currently offers nine core games, including social casino games Jackpot Party Casino, Gold Fish Casino Slots, Hot Shot Casino and Quick Hit Slots, and casual games MONOPOLY Slots, Bingo Showdown, 88 Fortunes Slots, Backgammon Live, and Solitaire Pet Adventure with offices all over the world!

Essential Job Functions:

· Lead the planning of releasable milestones, set stakeholder expectations for the delivery of new functionalities, and ensure milestones are adhered to by the development team.

· Collaborate with the Product team, Director of Engineering, and development team on the implementation of new features and technical improvements.

· Manage the execution and integration of features that improve technical stability, drive game performance, create new configuration tools, or support platform or other feature/system requirements.

· Provide vision and direction to the development team and collaborates with leads and stakeholders to define and maintain a prioritized product backlog of features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to best achieve key product outcomes.

· Write, refine and prioritize user stories that have clear acceptance criteria and are broken down into the smallest valuable increments.

· Responsible for validating that the development work aligns with business goals.

· Act as Product Owner for sprint activities such as planning sessions, sprint refinements, and other scrum meetings.

· Seek feedback from customers and stakeholders and refine feature requirements accordingly.

· Work with Process Leads to plan comprehensive evaluation strategies for tools and improvements delivered to the Slot Development teams

· Create presentations of notable successful engine enhancements and development tools for sharing with broader PM org and executive leadership team. (this may include milestone tracking/progress as well as WHAT has been produced)

· Proven experience in successfully leading project teams with multifaceted, competing priorities and deadlines, including virtual work teams with members in different geographic regions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· 8+ years of relevant product or software development experience

· Motivated to collaborate in a team environment while building a high-quality product

· Must be passionate about the product and have a strong desire to move the genre forward

Preferred Experience:

· MBA or equivalent experience

· Previous experience in gaming, social, online casino, or consumer mobile live service products.

· Previous Unity Product development experience or leading the building of complex systems in mobile applications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Excellent organization, time management, and recordkeeping skills and proven ability to effectively execute job duties.

· Excellent ability to synthesize information from many sources and assemble those inputs into a plan to deliver the most customer value

· Ability to handle interruptions and adjust to quick changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and team skills with the proven ability to build consensus and buy-in among peers.

· Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Excellent agile and scrum methodologies, including the ability to write actionable and detailed user stories

· Ability to adapt to different teams and personality types while also understanding and executing the vision of the product.

· Effective communication with stakeholders to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding features, functionality, and deadlines and the ability to effectively communicate the vision to the team.

· Strong comprehension of evaluating and communicating the business value of technical deliverables.
