About the Position
The Twitch Engineering Success team is looking for a Product Manager to help us build solutions that educate, enable and empower engineers at Twitch to build amazing apps for live streaming.
As a Product Manager, you will participate in developing the strategy and vision for the Engineering Success team, and you will develop and look after product roadmaps and features based on team strategy and vision. You’ll act in both supportive and leadership roles. Some projects in flight need further requirements gathering and testing, whereas others need customer validation and requirements specified to begin work. A PM with an entrepreneurial mindset will thrive in this role, as many customer needs will be vaguely defined and require innovative thinking to bring the right ideas to market.
Joining our team will put you in the driver's seat for creating and executing the vision and strategy for products that level up engineering at Twitch. You love working with people and can collaborate across many internal teams to move mountains and drive alignment on big objectives. You know how to turn customer problems into product opportunities and can craft and execute on an impactful product roadmap. You know what success looks like for your products and can clearly articulate the metrics you use to judge the health of your products. You have a passion for and history of ideating, building, delivering, and supporting high quality, delightful user experiences that reach a broad and diverse base of customers.
Responsibilities
- Define detailed specifications and requirements for features that improve the core developer experience at Twitch
- Craft user experiences that delight our engineers within their workflows -- making solutions that meet them where they are, rather than conform to us
- Propose and greenlight new projects and initiatives that further our mission of empowering our developers to build the future of live entertainment and grow Twitch
- Collaborate across design, engineering, program management, solutions architecture, marketing and more functional organizations to define and deliver features
- Dig into details, sometimes highly technical, to define minimum delightful products
- Use data to inform product priorities and decisions
- Advocate for our customers, championing their needs when needed to make product decisions
- Retain the knowledge of several systems and act as an SME for internal team
- Build bridges across the company to make complex workflows simpler for our customers
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in product management, engineering, and/or program management, or equivalent
- Experience defining and building products from scratch
- Eagerness to dive into the details, find creative solutions and take responsibility for your projects
- Deep empathy for the customer's experience and the ability to translate it into new features, products, and businesses
- Ability to communicate, persuade and influence, both verbally and in writing
Bonus Points
- Excellent ability to mix intuition, data and judgement calls to make decisions
- Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives
- Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members
- Experience in developer relations, developer experience, or user experience design roles in the past, and love working on developer products
- A bias for action for developing awesome marketing assets (product videos, creative, web content)
