The role of the Senior Technician – Development Hardware is to support all development hardware locally in Australia and global teams remotely. This role will be the primary point of contract for day-to-day support requires of software teams in game studios and other technology teams. In addition to support this role will provide required support for new product development projects.
This position is responsible for customer satisfaction while performing installation, support, and ongoing technical service for various types of Development hardware and related products. Individual is committed to the mission and principles of Aristocrat and the Customer Service organization.What you'll do
- Build , Test and Install electrical/electronic systems and prototypes as per new hardware development requirements
- Assemble, test, and maintain development hardware according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and Work Instructions
- Ability to manage day to day activities , including schedule task and break fix calls
- Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production hardware
- Understanding of Parts procurement and management of inventory
- Strong Electronics and Mechanical background
- Previous Technical positions in a repair center preferred
- Positive attitude, team player and Interest in the gaming industry
- Field, electrical or electronics service or maintenance experience or a keen interest in pursuing a career in this area
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to undertake physical demands required of the role
- Possess excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- Provide Telephone/In person support to local and external stakeholders
- Co-ordinate Build/Installation/delivery schedule as per the delivery plan for development hardware
- Maintain accurate distribution list with relevant update information per location of the development hardware
- Provide in house hardware support for Internal customers
- Must have NSW driver license
- Comfortable working with multiple sites as and when required
What we're looking for
- Prior experience in working in the gaming industry or with slot machines is strongly preferred
- Technology background in order to troubleshoot common problems with slot machines/development hardware
- Excellent Problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Structured approach to problem solving
- Effective in communication across teams, identifying common ground, building trust
- Strong people skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem resolution facilitation skills and ability to clear/resolve issues quickly.

- Highly self-motivated, self-directed and efficient within a team-first orientation.
- Must have strong analytical skills.
- Proven proficiency with PC and comfort level working with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint
