Senior Technical Designer

We are looking for a Senior Technical Designer who has excellent knowledge of UE4/UE5. You will be working on a AAA project with a large-scale team. You will be responsible for the implementation and technical aspects of design, working closely with both designers and programmers.
As a Senior Technical Designer, your focus will be working in engine and being an expert on how creating playable prototypes and functional design. You will be essential in finding the fun and bring a technical perspective to the design team.
This is an in-studio role, and this is non-negotiable; however, we can offer bespoke relocation packages.

-You will act as a technical reference for designers in evaluating features and setting or sharing best practices in production workflows within the team and studio.
-You will carry out development tasks such as implementing scripted features on systems or levels.
-You will prove out new features by developing prototypes or providing accessible prototypes for the design team to experiment with.
-You will maintain familiarity with the technical and design aspects of the game’s development.
-You will liaise with other disciplines in the development of complex features representing design’s interests, ensuring implementation meets the design brief.
-Pro-actively work alongside other developers and designers to share and gather essential information and be consistent within your work.
-Prioritize and self-manage to meet deadlines.
-Assist in project planning and scoping to ensure on time delivery milestones.
-Maintain and develop authoring standards.
-Mentor junior team members.
// REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Expert knowledge of UE4/UE5 (or equivalent current gen game engines).
-The ability to work independently as well as working alongside other level designers.
-Be proactive in communicating progress and solving problems.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience creating design documentation.
-Experience working on AAA game/s through the full development cycle (from concept to ship) as an embedded member of a studio development team strongly preferred.
-Experience with a scripting or programming language (visual or text based).
-Experience of prototyping gameplay mechanics using UE4 or UE5.
