The Senior Technical Artist - VFX works closely with the art director, technical art, vfx, environment, and rendering teams to deliver new effects features, implement pipelines, and create tools for procedural asset authoring. The Senior Technical Artist will be expected to create bar setting vfx assets that will help them refine workflows and tools. In addition, the cg sup will be responsible for defining effects budgets and help bring final assets into those performance standards.
The role has a major emphasis on problem solving, collaboration & communication.
Requirements:
- Strong overall artistic ability in visual effects;
- Expert knowledge of Maya and Houdini;
- Strong knowledge of procedural modeling;
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python);
- Knowledge of shading language (HLSL, GLSL);
- Good knowledge and understanding of the video game (current gen) development processes and techniques;
- Strong understanding of rendering budgets and other technical issues related to performance in real-time engines;
- Experience collaborating with graphic programmers and mentoring artist;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English
