Location: This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Your Mission
With new worlds comes a host of challenges and opportunities! The Technical Art Team is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to work on Content Creation tools, and pipelines.
In this role you will work closely with the rest of the Tech Art Team, as part of a Tools and Pipeline sub-team, helping empower the Tech Art team, as well as the Art team and other content creators by providing tools, processes, validation, code reviews, scripting and API support.
To you, "Technical Debt" is a four-letter word, and scalability is the name of the game! You love talking shop with Tech Art, Tech Design, and Engineering, while caring deeply about the quality of life of content creators. The Technical Artist in this role is a champion of sustainable process, trust, and collaboration with other teams.
You are a driver of standards, can anticipate the needs of your customers, and don’t hesitate to champion positive change, both in process and in culture.

Responsibilities:
- Develop tools and underlying systems for the content creation process.
- Focus on designing systems with shared functionality and unified architecture.
- Support features like content validation, import/export tooling, and source control automation.
- In DCCS as well as the game editor.
- Automate Tasks using Jenkins, and or other Automation Tools.
- Accountable for maintenance, and stability of content creation pipelines.
- Be an active communicator and collaborator with all stakeholders.
- Discover and investigate technologies and techniques for keeping our pipeline modern, relevant, and feature rich.
- Investigate task needs with emotional intelligence and pragmatism.
- Able to critically evaluate tasks and mitigate or expand scope.
- Write and maintain documentation for tools, procedures, and best practices.
- Be a willing and able mentor for both the consumers of your work and the peers working within your systems.
- Maintain and grow a culture of collaboration and trust crucial to healthy development.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience working on AAA games for major platforms.
- Experience shipping projects with a focus on pipeline, tooling, and workflow enhancements for modern real time applications.
- Sophisticated knowledge of Python scripting and related UI frameworks (PyQt / PySide).
- Experience with writing tools/scripts/code libraries in Python or other scripting languages.
- Expert source control knowledge, including automation of source control in game pipelines.
- Experience in modern game engines, and their workflows.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- A passion for promoting a positive team culture that champions new ideas, empowers coworkers to achieve their vision, while growing and maintaining a positive collaborative environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills that lead to innovative solutions on challenging technical problems.
Pluses:
- C++ Experience.
- Solid Foundation in 3D math.
- Experience with Machine Learning, and AI.
- Passion for making and playing phenomenal games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.
- Experience creating Houdini HDAs to run in Unreal Engine, Maya, and other locations.
- Experience with Software Release, Versioning, and Packaging.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
