Senior Technical Artist, Sports & Live Entertainment

The opportunity

Unity is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Artist to work with our Sports and Live Entertainment team to define and drive artist workflows for a variety of content creation needs in Unity. You will give ideas for the product utilizing previous proven experience and a deep understanding of standard methodologies in real-time 3D productions of all sizes.

What you’ll be doing

• Contribute to the development of new features, help set expectations, validate and provide first-hand feedback through the process from users’ perspective
• Work with engineers, product designer and technical product manager through feature development as a resident team member
• Build content samples of outstanding quality demonstrating the latest features and workflow strengths, as well as pushing feature boundaries
• Contribute to documentation and user-facing tutorials
• Stay up to date with animation techniques

What we’re looking for

• Has shipped a AAA game equivalent as a Technical Artist
• Professional experience working with 3D asset creation pipeline including DCC editing and camera tools with good knowledge of character animation and rigging workflows.
• Broad experience using cinematic language (acting, animation, cinematography, audio and music.)
• Good understanding of interactive or immersive storytelling

You might also have

• Experience using Unity or real-time engines in areas related to animation, filmmaking or virtual production
• Excellent experience leading creative projects from script to delivery.
• Experience building proof points, or marketing collateral
