Responsibilities
- Working with artists and developers to build virtual shows in the Unity or Unreal engine
- Communicating effectively with team cross-functional teams of artists and developers.
- Iterating on projects under tight deadlines
- Working with show directors to create shaders and architect new effects that push the art direction of shows
- Working with graphics programmers to optimize shaders
- Push the envelope for visual effects in shows by prototyping specific material effects
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as tech artist in Unity or Unreal
- Multiple titles shipped, preferably in games or AR/VR/XR space
- Strong portfolio of work
- Strong scripting abilities in C#, Python or relevant languages
- Knowledge of shader tools
- Expertise in Shaders and rendering in Unity or Unreal
- Deep knowledge of the Unity or Unreal game engine
- Experience in using Unity Timeline
- Lighting and post-processing FX
- Experience with production tools like Perforce and JIRA
- Proactive in learning and finding new ways to improve workflow and efficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Some experience with mocap
- Self-starter
