工作职责:
- 为新技术和系统选型来支持研发项目的产品,核心玩法和艺术性目标,必要时进行实验和测试,以帮助团队为我们的早期技术基础做出正确的选择
- 识别和构建基础/通用原型管线和工具
- 通过考虑新工具、程序和白模资产的实际性解决问题方式来推动艺术原型设计,以及必要的可亲自上手的技术美术能力,来帮助我们推动游戏原型向前发展。
- 与团队合作,寻找新的机会来推动技术,以提高美术工作流程的效率并解锁新的创意
- 为艺术家提供技术支持并收集数据以进一步改进使用工具
- 与制作团队合作制定长期战略来维护和优化你的产品的美术工作流程

能力要求:
- 5年以上游戏或相关行业技术美术经验
- 扎实的技术美术功底和对游戏开发的全面理解以及熟练的沟通技巧,来指导团队对技术美术的理解和协作。
- 具有 Maya、Unity 和/或 Unreal 以及 Python、HLSL 脚本的经验
- 具有手游和/或 3A游戏开发经验,构建长期、可维护、经过高度测试和稳定的系统,以支持游戏原型设计和未来大规模开发的目标。
- 出色的批判性思维能力,尤其是在将艺术要求转化为可持续工作流程设计方面

With the release of Valorant, LoL: Wild Rift, Team-fight Tactics & Legends of Runeterra, Riot has now transformed into a multi-game studio, expanding our footprint in Asia and internationally in order to develop new games that can hyper-serve players globally.
As a Senior Technical Artist in Research & Development-Shanghai , you will be a founding member of an R&D project focused on the China market, acting as a critical partner to the Art Director & Executive Producer in developing early game prototypes that define the promise of our game thesis and meets the goals and timelines set by product leadership.
You love to tinker with the latest engines, software, creating new tools while also getting your hands dirty with 3D prototyping & rigging to help us drive in-engine gameplay tests, as well as simple shader & materials exploration to support look-development, You will act as a supportive Art Leader, partnering with artists across sub disciplines to solve a variety of tech-art challenges in efficient, sustainable ways, working constantly with artists and engineers across the team to ensure that all assets and workflow decisions fall within the scope of technical engine & pipeline requirements, helping the project to build internal confidence and progress efficiently in the R&D development cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new technology & systems that support the product, gameplay & artistic goals of the R&D project, running experiments and testing as necessary in order to help the team make the right choices for our early technical foundation.
- Identify and build foundational/universal prototype pipelines and tools
- Drive art prototyping efforts with practical problem-solving that considers new tools, programs and basic placeholder assets, as well as hands-on tech art craft as necessary to help us move the gameplay prototype forward.
- Work with the team to identify new opportunities to incorporate technology to increase art workflow efficiency and unlock new creative opportunities.
- Provide technical support to artists and collect data to further improve the tools they use
- Collaborate with production to develop a long-term strategy to maintain and evolve the art workflows for your product
- Build close relationships with the artists and engineers you work alongside with to understand their needs and provide leadership on tool and pipeline development
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a technical artist in games or related industries
- Strong tech-art skills and well-rounded understanding of game development as well as proficient communication skills to guide the team’s tech-art understanding and collaboration.
- Experience with Maya, Unity and/or Unreal, as well as scripting in Python, HLSL
- Experience in mobile and/or AAA development, building long-term, maintainable, highly tested and stable systems that support gameplay prototyping and future development goals at scale.
- Superb critical thinking skills, particularly as it pertains to translating artistic requirements to sustainable workflow design
