YOUR DAILY JOURNEY
To support and develop the art & technical pipelines through education, tool creation, asset optimizations. You will ensure that the project ships out a performant & polished product.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Set, enforce and share good and optimized graphical data setups and practices
- Ability to write technical documentation clearly and precisely for different audiences
- Create benchmarks, test and prototype tool sets for artists
- Create, assess and integrate assets (eg. Meshes, Textures)
- Maintain a clear & precise communication chain between all stakeholders (Artists and Programmers)
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Unreal/Unity engine experience (3D)
- Ability to help debug artistic tools in engine
- Knows the artistic pipeline & tools
- Shader Experience
- Ability to read/write HLSL/GLSL
- Ability to profile Shaders, Materials and generic Art Assets
- Used a profiler to pinpoint and optimise assets (regardless of in-engine or external softwares)
- Good knowledge of 3D graphic pipeline (real-time)
- Ability to explain the passes in a frame
- How a pixel is being rendered on screen
- Knowledge in at least 1 programming language (C#, Python, C/C++)
- Best if they've done some scripting and can give any examples
- Ability to work with both Artists/Programmers to achieve standards set by Directors
Bonus:
- Management
- Has lead a team of Tech Artists before
- Console development experience
- Any platform of Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo (handheld consoles)
- Houdini/Procedural
- used the software before/ has knowledge in procedural pipelines
