Infinity Ward is looking for a talented Senior Technical Animator with demonstrated experience working with complex character cloth rigs. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of skinning, human anatomy, ragdolls, cloth, and hair and is comfortable working within a scripting environment
Responsibilities:
Create technical animation setups for things such as hair and cloth that work both in-engine in real time and for animation within Maya
Collaborate with the Character Art team to help create assets that meet our technical and animation requirements
Develop new techniques and processes to solve animation production challenges
Research and implement the latest applicable cloth technologies
Minimum Requirements:
3+ year of experience in the video game industry
2+ years of experience as a Technical Animator
Extensive knowledge of Maya (Experience with Motion Builder and/or 3DS Max a plus)
Experience with Havok cloth (or an equivalent cloth simulation package)
Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g. Python, Pyside, mel)
Ability to create believable character ragdoll animations
Broad knowledge of game technology
Strong rigging skills and an understanding of the human figure
Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Modeling and drawing skills
Strong demo reel showcasing dynamic character rigs and hair/cloth simulation
Programming experience (e.g. C++, C#)
